Pollard, the driver of the No. 26 car started from the pole position at the 0.75-mile tri-oval for JEGS/CRA Racing Memphis Masters of the Pro’s 125 setting a new track record and took control of the race for the first 42 laps.
As the race settled in, Brian Campbell would inherit the lead after until issues arose on the No.47 machine surrendering the lead to Willie Allen who fought to hold off the charging Pollard.
With 12 laps to go, Pollard would retake the lead from Allen capturing the JEGS/CRA Racing Memphis Masters of the Pro’s 125 win.
“Track position and being in clean air was critical and being in traffic with too much air pressure made the car difficult to drive,” a jubilant Pollard said. “Some of my guys couldn’t make it here, but it shows the dedication and what you can do with a good group of crew members.”
Willie Allen came home second, Carson Hocevar finished third, Jake Garcia finished fourth and Sammy Smith rounded out the top-5.
