This year’s Summit World Finals will be broadcast live on MotorMania TV. The broadcast will start at 9:30am on Friday and will continue Saturday.
MIR is represented by Leigh Hubbard, racing in Top, David Elam, racing in Mod, and Devin Johnson, racing in Juniors. These racers earned their place at Summit World Finals with their strong performance all year racing at MIR in the Summit Bracket Racing Series, presented by COMP Cams.
Leigh Hubbard, from Millington, TN, is racing in Top this weekend and she hasn’t miss a points race all season at MIR, including two top-three finishes in her 2004 M&M Dragster. Hubbard finished third in her class in season points in 2018 and she’s been a bracket racer at MIR since 2014. Her experience and strong finishes throughout the 2018 season will make her a strong contender this weekend as she tries to claim her first Ironman Trophy.
David Elam, from Covington, TN is racing his 1972 Chevy Nova this weekend. Elam has been a top performer at MIR all season, with two first place finishes under his belt, along with numerous top-three finishes. Elam is no stranger to the Dart’s Carts Winner Circle and we look forward to seeing how far the local racer makes it in this weekend’s competition.
Devin Johnson from Collierville, TN, is racing his 2013 M&M Junior Dragster this weekend. Johnson has dominated the 2018 points race, finishing first in his class with the next closest competitor 63 points behind him. Devin has finished first in three different races in 2018, along with multiple top three finishes. He’s been at the top of the points race all season and we look forward to seeing how he performs this weekend on the national stage.
