We’re looking forward to seeing these two racers compete as the 2018 season progresses.

Inman Murphy Termite & Pest Junior Dragster class is led by Devin Johnson from Collierville, TN. Devin is running his 2013 M&M Junior Dragster this year and has a commanding lead with 122 points. This is the largest gap between first and second in the series, with the next closest competitor (Wade Rose) sitting 42 points behind, at 80 accumulated points so far in 2018.

Female racers are strongly represented in The Engines Inc. DOT/Street class and they make up two of top three points leaders. This class has the smallest point difference and it’s anyone’s series with just 22 points separating the top three competitors. Mary Johnson is leading the field with 61 points in her Chevy Malibu. She’s closely followed by Whitney Jackson.

The 2nd Hand Power Stock/Super Stock class is led by Gabriel Ray, from Atoka TN who is racing his 64 Chevy this year. He’s sitting at 62 points and the current runner-up is John Garner who has 51 points accumulated in 2018. The last time these two racers competed, Gabriel had John off the tree and he stayed out in front, taking the win with a 9.648 on a 9.63 dial in at 138.14 MPH. John ran an 11.924 on a 12.08 dial in at 109.19 MPH.

The PTC 6.0 Index has Corey Glidewell, from Corinth MS sitting in first with 62 points. Close behind is Daryl Cooper who has 51 points this season. These two faced off in the Rockin' Radial Series presented by FAST and Daryl took Cory off the tree, with a .020 reaction. Cory ended up chasing him down, winning the class with a 6.013 ET at 125.19 MPH. Daryl was only .02 seconds behind, finishing runner-up with a 6.032 ET. We can’t wait to see these two racers compete again in the next Index class race on July 7th.

Rick's Powder Coating 7.0 Index is led by local racer Phillip Tong, from Germantown TN. He’s accumulated 62 points this season and is closely followed by Mike Rogers. Phill is racing his 81 Camaro. Both racers broke out when they raced each other in the first Rockin' Radial Series presented by FAST in 2018.

We can’t wait to see what this weekend’s race does to the points leaders in the four classes that are running. It’s anyone’s series to win in 2018! Tickets to Saturday’s race are available at the gate. It’s just $20 to spectate and children 12 and under are free. Rick’s Powder Coating Box, Luttrell Belting and Supply No Box, Engines Inc. DOT/Street, and Inman Murphy Pest Control Junior Dragsters will be running. Event details and class entry information can be found here.
