Saturday, June 2, 2018
MILLINGTON, Tenn. — Tyler Ankrum won the pole position and set a track record at the Memphis International Raceway for Saturday’s NASCAR K&N Pro Series East Memphis 150, presented by AutoZone at Memphis International Raceway.

The driver of the No.17 Modern Meat Company Toyota for David Gililand Racing toured the 0.75-mile tri-oval in 22.980 seconds 117.493 mph.

“To get the track record and the pole at Memphis International Raceway is cool as it has a lot of history with the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and Xfinity Series,” Tyler Ankrum said. “I thought I messed up my lap at first but when my crew said I got the pole I was shocked.”

Ankrum’s teammate Tyler Dippel qualified second in a Toyota at 111.320 mph, followed by Grant Quinlan in a Ford at 117.305. Spencer Davis in a Chevrolet and Ruben Garcia Jr. in a Toyota rounded out the top five.
