Triple Nickel Canceled – March 9-11th

Thursday, March 8, 2018

MILLINGTON, Tenn. (March 8, 2018) - Memphis International Raceway (MIR) – Due to the current weekend forecast calling for heavy rain and flooding, Memphis International Raceway is cancelling the Triple Nickel bracket race scheduled for March 9-11th.   This decision was made in a timeframe to allow racers to make alternate plans.

Event completion and safety is paramount at Memphis International Raceway, and with heavy rain and cold forecasted for late Friday, most of the day Saturday and continuing into Sunday, we’ve determined it’s in the best interest of the racers and the event to cancel this weekend’s Triple Nickel event.   This event is designed for three days of racing and we do not want racers and fans traveling when the track will be unraceable most of the weekend based on current weather forecast.

The next Triple Nickels race will be held June 29th – July 1st and we’re excited to see this series kick off with warm weather.
