NASCAR To Return To Memphis In 2018

Wednesday, December 6, 2017
MILLINGTON, TENN. (Dec. 6, 2017) — NASCAR will return to Memphis International Raceway once again in 2018 with the Memphis 125 presented by AutoZone. This must-attend event on June 2 follows the successful return of NASCAR to the Mid-South in 2017 after an eight-year absence.

Harrison Burton conquered the ¾-mile, tri-oval short track in Millington, Tenn., to win the inaugural Memphis 125 presented by AutoZone for the NASCAR K&N Pro Series. He would go on to win the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East championship.

The NASCAR K&N Pro Series has been a launching pad for many of today’s stars in the NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series including current champion Martin Truex Jr., Kyle Larson, Chase Elliott, Joey Logano, Austin Dillon and Daniel Suarez.

Memphis International Raceway is the Mid-South’s premier racing destination for racers and spectators alike. It includes a historic drag strip and a road course besides the NASCAR ¾-mile tri-oval. Prestigious events at the facility over the past year have included the IHRA Summit World Finals, Red Bull Global Rallycross, and the Original Super Chevy Show.
