Summit Bracket Racing Series presented by COMP Cams - Race 2 Results

Millington, TN (March 19, 2017) Race two of the Summit Bracket Racing Series presented by COMP Cams was wrapped on Saturday with the running of Rick's Powder Coating Box, Foster's Towing & Salvage No Box, RT Turbines DOT/Street and RT Turbines Junior Dragster.  All four classes saw new winners on the season and a few changes in the points lead as well.



In RT Turbines Junior Dragster the winner's circle saw Devan Lowe who took the win over Hunter Ray who had a break out run, both drivers of Covington, TN.  Lowe ran an 8.178 on an 8.16 dial in with a .172 reaction time.   Ray, 1st year driver, ran a 9.198 on a 9.22 dial in with a .055 reaction time.    The win takes Lowe to 2nd in points after two races.

In RT Turbines DOT/Street, past two track champions would go head to head and Billy Foster, Sr. would take the win over Tommy Jackson, II.  Foster of Brighton, TN ran a 15.565 on a 15.53 dial in with a .032 reaction time to Jackson's 13.458 on a 13.42 dial in with a .037 reaction time.    with the win, Foster pulls even with current points leader, Chris Foster.  Foster, Sr. holds down two spots in the top five.

Next up would be Foster's Towing & Salvage NO Box.  The tradition in most sports of Alabama vs Mississippi would be the final round.  Todd Berry of Tuscumbia, AL would take the win over Tim Pace of Booneville, MS.  Berry ran a 6.806 on a 6.80 dial in with a .015 reaction time to Pace's 6.291 on a 6.27 dial in with a .031 dial in.   The win would jump Berry to the top five in points with just one race on the season.  Holding on to the points lead for the 2nd straight race is David Elam.

The final run of the night would be in Rick's Powder Coating Box.  Buddy Ferrell running JR Barclay.    Ferrell would take the win running a 4.847 on a 4.84 dial in with a .008 reaction time over Barclay's breakout run of 4.615 on a 4.62 dial in with a .059 reaction time.  The win would give Ferrell the points lead by 30 after just two races.   With the season just starting and if the three way tie for sixth and the four way tie for 9th is any indication of how tight this season will be, we are in for a great race to the finish.
