Summit Bracket Series presented by COMP Cams

January 30, 2017 (Millington, TN)  Memphis International Raceway (MIR) is pleased to announce a full slate of sponsors for the upcoming 2017 Racing Season for the Summit Bracket Racing Series presented by COMP Cams.

Summit Racing Equipment who is back in 2017 in the second year of their contract will remain title sponsor on the series.  Summit has been a part of this program since 2014 making this the fourth year as title sponsor.

Back on Board renewing their partnership is COMP Cams as the presenting sponsor - COMP has partnered with MIR going into its 6th season straight supporting sportsman racing at MIR.

Class Sponsors returning are:

Rick Taylor, with Rick's Powder Coating Box Class, Billy Foster, Sr. with Foster's Towing & Salvage No Box Class and Rex and Glenda Thompson with the R.T. Turbines DOT/Street Class and the R.T. Turbines Junior Dragster Class.

"These sponsors have committed to the success of the program, their support year in and year out is what allows Memphis to offer such a strong bracket program for the sportsman racers," said Pam Kendrick, President of Memphis International Raceway.  "These partnerships also allow for a season ending points fund that is second to none in the mid-south and this year we are thankful to welcome these sponsors back on board, we could not do what we do without them."

In additional to the season ending points fund in 2017 there are a few more twists along the way.

In the R.T. Turbines DOT/Street class we will offer two non-points races on July 1 & 2, 2017 with $1,000 to win - there will be no minimum car count.

In the R. T. Turbines Junior Dragster class, we will showcase these racers at the 31st Annual Super Chevy Show with a $1,000 to win and a FREE entry.  Rex and Glenda are both dedicated to the future of the sport and look to build racing through the R. T. Turbines Junior Dragster program.

Now for the Biggie!! Rick's Powder Coating Box and Foster's Towing & Salvage No Box racers listen up - the Dart's Carts Run-Off gives everyone a reason to run the points series at Memphis International Raceway in both classes.   The winner of the Run-Off carries home a tricked out, top shelf, great looking Yamaha golf cart.  This cart is valued at over $6,000 not a junk yard dog and the runner-up will receive a full-race prepped transmission, all brand new, with first class reliability that Dave Klaput builds in all of his world famous Proformance Racing Transmissions.  The semi-finalist will each take home $200 in cool cash.

Here's how the Dart's Carts Run-Off works, the race will be contested on October 28 in front of the huge crowd of the Memphis Rockin' Radial Series Finale and will be live streamed on MotorMania TV.  The top eight (8) points finishers will be placed on a ladder 1 vs 8; 2 vs 7; 3 vs 6; and 4 vs 5 and the winner of each class will lock horns for the Dart's Carts Golf Cart and Proformance Racing Transmission.  The semi-finalist will receive $200.  There is no entry fee for the Dart's Carts Run-off, car and driver along with two crew members for the weekend will get in at no charge to this event. NO substitute cars or drivers once ladder is set - if there's a no show, the opponent in the pairing with the no show, he or she will receive a competition bye into the next round.

Where else in the world can you race for a fully loaded, tricked out Yamaha Golf Cart & a Fully race prepared Proformance Transmission for No Entry Fee - nowhere, but Memphis International Raceway.

"Dart's Carts has been a partner of MIR going in our third season and the partnership is one we are thrilled to be a part of," said Trad Longeway, owner of Dart's Carts.  "This is a great concept that we are excited to be involved with and giving away the golf cart as the Grand Prize is awesome."

Memphis International Raceway thanks Summit Racing Equipment, COMP Cams, Dart's Carts, Rick's Powder Coating, Foster's Towing & Salvage, R. T. Turbines and Proformance Race Transmission for the support that gives us the ability to offer such a great program - support the sponsors that support your program!
