Summit Bracket Racing Series presented by COMP Cams No. 6 Recap

Tuesday, May 24, 2016
The Summit Bracket Racing Series presented by COMP Cams has approached the halfway point at Memphis International Raceway (MIR). As we enter the summer months, points are more critical than ever to determine Track Champions, the Team Final Roster and who will have bragging rights during the off season.

The R. T. Turbines Junior Dragster class saw buy-backs give another opportunity to the finalists. The night started with Drew "Mann" Tracey of Millington, Tennessee being too quick on the start and Wade Rose late on the tree. Two ends of the spectrum and both would have to sharpen up to make a go at it. Both drivers took advantage of the buy-back to give themselves another opportunity. Taking full advantage of that opportunity the duo would meet in the finals. Along the way, Tracy became consistent on the tree while Rose cut some really good lights in route himself. The finals painted a reflection of the first round for Rose. The win went to Tracy with a .039 reaction time running an 8.556 on an 8.45 dial-in to Rose's .179 reaction time with a break out run.

With seat time so important to the R. T. Turbines Junior Dragster class, Devan Lowe of Covington, Tennessee took the win in the R. T. Turbines Junior Dragster 2nd Chance race.

Rick's Powder Coating Super Pro saw a new winner for 2016 while the point's leader continues his consistent run to stay atop the points. The finals came down to Kenny Pease of Dyersburg, Tennessee making his first start on the year and JR Barclay of Henderson, Tennessee. Pease and Barclay with round after round wins looked to be on a roll for the night, but in the finals there could be only one winner. It would be Pease, with a seven thousands package, perfect reaction time running a 5.807 on a 5.80 dial-in over Barclay's .020 reaction time and a break out run of 4.408 on a 4.41 dial-in.
