2015 Great American Racing Series Schedule Released

Tuesday, March 17, 2015
Circle Track, the #1 Source for Advanced Racing Technology, is proud to announce the 2015 schedule for their ground breaking event series, the Great American Racing Series. Designed as an affordable and exciting form of stock car racing, this series features races with individual purses of $30,000 with a whopping $5,000 going to the winner! The structure makes Circle Track’s Great American Racing Series will be the richest street stock series in the country.

The 2015 schedule will consist of six events, 2 on dirt and 4 on asphalt, kicking off on May 9th at Salem Speedway in Salem, Indiana. “To our knowledge, no racing organization has ever offered a series with such a large purse for grassroots style cars competing on two different surfaces,” stated Circle Track General Manager Rob Fisher.

“We originally planned to have ten races in our first year but crafting a rules package that encompassed both big paved tracks and small dirt tracks was more time consuming than we anticipated,” explained Fisher. “It’s something that nobody has ever done before and we wanted to get it correct for the sake of our racers. Therefore, in the interest of keeping costs down for our racers, especially the travel costs, we honed in on targeting the top tracks on our wish list and we are excited to announce that the Great American Racing Series will make stops at the following tracks in 2015.

May 9: Salem Speedway; Salem, IN (PAVED)

June 20: Illiana Motor Speedway; Schererville, IN (PAVED)

July 18: Kentucky Motor Speedway; Whitesville, KY (PAVED)

August 29: Plymouth Speedway; Plymouth, IN (DIRT)

October 3: Memphis International Raceway; Memphis, TN (DIRT)

October 4: Memphis International Raceway; Memphis, TN (PAVED)

Each race will consist of three distinct segments, creating natural breaks in the action to allow for a more complete experience for the fans. The format includes solo qualifying runs, followed by qualifying races and finally a main event. Rules, race procedures and more information for the Great American Racing Series are available on www.circletrack.com.
