Isenhower Fights Adversity to Take Winner AND Runner-Up Honors in $5,000 All-Run

Friday, November 7, 2014
After marching through the 7.90 Index Class earlier in the day, Devin Isenhower was taking no prisoners in the $5,000 All-Run Main Event. That wouldn't mean that his team wouldn't fight adversity before finding the Winner's Circle though.

At the conclusion of Devin's first round with his second entry, his primary motor locked up. He and crew chief Roy Isenhower jumped on the ride to get it back together. They just made the second round call and were fortunate enough to get a red light against them to use the run as a test pass. The rest would be history from there.

In the semi's Devin had the bye with one of his entries, and faced Nichole Medesis with his second entry. A victory against Nichole would mean Devin ran himself in the finals, taking both Winner and Runner-Up awards. Both drivers were on the tree as Nichole had the slight advantage with a .030 to Devin's .035. However, her car wouldn't quite take the stripe as Devin was closer to his dial with a 7.947 on his 7.90 dial for the win.

Congratulations to the Isenhower team on an outstanding day of racing in all categories!

Preston Tanner Ends Season Strong, Grabs Sunday's $1,000 All-Run Race Win

Preston Tanner has become quite the racer since joining the 7.90 ranks a few years ago. This season alone he has put together a number of race wins, and this weekend he added to that total in our Sunday $1,000 All-Run class.

In the finals Preston brought his Huddleston Performance Turn-Key Car up against the 2014 SEJRA All-Run Champion Kenny Carson. Preston was first off the line with a nice .026 to Kenny's .046 light. That would be all the jump he needed to grab the win as his 7.920 on the 7.90 dial was enough to beat Kenny and his 7.964 on his 7.90 dial.

Congratulations to Preston and the entire Tanner team on yet another race win in 2014!

Brody Quick Racks Up the Round Wins on his Way to 13&Up Race Win

Brody Quick has had some outstanding races throughout the history of the SEJRA. This past weekend at Memphis International Raceway he had another good outing to collect another custom trophy, this time in the 13&Up Age Group.

In the finals it would be Brody bringing his Huddleston Performance powered ride up against Miles Martin and his Huddleston Performance built machine as well. Brody would grab the starting line advantage with a nice .035 to Miles .095. That lead would be plenty to grab the win, as Brody pedaled to a 7.937 on his 7.90 against Miles' 7.925 on his 7.90.

Congratulations to Brody and his entire team on yet another great win.

Michigan Racer Alyssa Martin Uses Great Driving to Grab 10-12 Age Group Win

Alyssa Martin and her team made the long haul from Michigan worthwhile on Sunday, she was able to drive the wheels off her Mike Bos Chassis Craft ride to take the 10-12 Year Old victory.

In the finals Alyssa met up with Memphis local Devin Johnson. The young Michigan Racer was nearly perfect on the tree with a .001 to take the starting line advantage. She was able to couple that with a nice 8.929 on her 8.90 dial to capture the race win.

Congratulations to Alyssa and her team on a great weekend of racing!

Matthew Brock Wins 8&9 Year Olds, Grabs Season Championship with Win

Matthew Brock came into the final points race of 2014 chasing the SEJRA 8&9 Year Old Championship. He did everything he needed to by winning the race, which in turn got him the 2014 SEJRA 8&9 Year Old Championship!

In the 8&9 Finals Matthew brought his Junior Specialties powered ride up against Kentucky racer Zac Barnes. The race would be over shortly after getting started. Matthew hit the tree nicely with a .114 light, but Zac would break at the hit of the throttle giving Matthew the easy victory.

Congratulations to Matthew and his team on a great win, and an outstanding championship season!

Isenhower Fights Through Tough 7.90 Field to Collect 7.90 Index Victory

Racers across the country know they need to be on their A game when they come to the line against Devin Isenhower. In Memphis he was especially on his game, marching his way to a huge amount of round wins on Saturday. His day started off with a win in the 7.90 Index category.

After a stellar day of driving, Devin found himself in the final against Lawson Roberts and his Huddleston Performance powered hotrod. Both were good on the tree but it was Devin out front with a .022 to Lawson's .032. At the stripe that difference would be enough for Devin to back into the stripe, taking the win with his 7.956 to Lawson's 7.961.

Congrats to Devin and the Isenhower Family on another SEJRA 7.90 Victory!

Drew Tracey Uses Home Field Advantage to Capture 8.90 Index Victory

Drew Tracey and his team did exactly what a racer should do when a big event comes to their hometown, they won the race! The Millington, TN racer did what he needed to do in order to grab the custom SEJRA hardware.

In the finals Drew gave up a sizeable lead on the starting line against Michigan racer Alyssa Martin. However, cold and windy conditions made the racing tricky which played right into his hands. At the stripe Drew was much closer to the 8.90 Index with his 8.968 to Alyssa's slowing 9.065, giving him the race win!

Congratulations to Drew and his team on a great victory on the Tommy's Quality Used Car Spookfest.

Carson Emmett Grabs Another SEJRA Victory, Takes 11.90 Index Victory at Memphis

Carson Emmett has been racking up the round wins in the SEJRA throughout the 2014 season. In everything from 8&9 Year Olds to All-Run to the 11.90 Index, he has taken home hardware all season. The Tommy's Quality Used Cars Spookfest wasn't any different for him!

In the finals Carson came to the line to face off with Matthew Brock and his Junior Specialties powered 11.90 ride. Carson took the slight starting line advantage by 2 hundredths of a second which would be enough. His 11.922 on the 11.90 was plenty close to beat out Matthew and his 12.038.

Congrats to Carson and the entire Emmett team on collecting another race win!
